About us - our story

At Leo's Trailers, we're not just in the business of crafting trailers; we're in the business of building lasting relationships based on trust, quality, and family values. For over four decades, we have proudly been a family-owned enterprise, and it's these very family values that have been at the core of everything we do.

Our journey began in 1986 when Piet Viljoen, the patriarch of our family, built the very first trailer. At that time, the Viljoen family was deeply rooted in farming, and Piet recognized the need for reliable, durable trailers to support their business endeavors. It was from this vision that our commitment to quality and durability was born.

In 2011, we faced a significant loss when Piet passed away. However, it was during this challenging time that our determination to honor his legacy and uphold his values grew stronger than ever. Louis, with his unwavering dedication and passion, stepped up to lead our family business.

Today, with over 40 years of experience under our belt, we proudly stand as a testament to the enduring values that make us who we are. We understand the importance of quality, reliability, and safety on the open road. Our personal quote, "We pride ourselves in building quality trailers that last and also that are safe and roadworthy," is not just a statement—it's a promise.

We invite you to be a part of our journey, knowing that when you choose Leo's Trailers, you're not just choosing a trailer; you're choosing a legacy built on family values, quality craftsmanship, and four decades of experience. Thank you for considering us as your trusted partner on the road ahead.
